The year 2013 is here and for movie lovers this means a whole year of new movies. On Monday, January 7, MTV opened their annual movie poll that gives fans the chance to pick the film they are most excited to see in 2013 – MTV Movie Brawl 2013.
MTV’s list consists of 40 movies. Fans can vote for their favorites until next week on Monday, January 14, when polls close. The list will then get smaller and smaller until only one film is chosen and declared the Most Anticipated Movie of 2013.
The list includes:
- “The Host”
- “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug”
- “Iron Man 3”
- “Man of Steel”
- “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire”
- “Thor: The Dark World”
- “World War Z”

So far, the top three are “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones,” to be released August 23, “The Hunger Games 2,” to be released November 22, and “The Host,” to be released March 29.
