“The Mortal Instruments” movie and novel fans alike will be excited to hear that author Cassandra Clare was recently able to share a “special” glimpse of “City of Lost Souls” this week, Cassandra Clare’s Tumblr revealed this Tuesday, Jan. 8. The talented science fiction writer shared a short story titled “A Question of Power” that stars characters Camille and Alec discussing Magnus.
First revealed in the “City of Lost Souls” via a special Target edition, the short story is titled “A Question of Power” and offers an important look into the fifth addition to the great “The Mortal Instruments” novel series, which is set to hit the big screen in its first adaptation this 2013. Alec and Camille talk about Magnus in the brief clip, and is likely the first of many as Clare is expected to upload more content pieces in the future.
Even with this great new content available to fellow “The Mortal Instruments” series fans, “City of Lost Souls” is quite a ways away, as filming and production are still underway for the first “Mortal Instruments” movie. “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones” is set for release in August of this year, so stay tuned.
Most news surrounding the hotly anticipated 2013 adaptation has stayed under wraps for now, though a new photo was revealed in mid-December 2012 that offered a great screenshot of actor Jamie Campbell Bower in his shadowhunter guise, who will play Jace Wayland in the film.
