The new film "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" had its German premiere at Sony Centre on Aug. 20, 2013, in Berlin, Germany. "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" was directed by Harald Zwart ("Agent Cody Banks") and stars Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower and Robert Sheehan.
In "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones," a seemingly ordinary teenage girl, Clary Fray, finds out truths about her past and bloodline on her quest to get her mother back, that changes her entire life.
This is the debut of "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones." The film will be released on Wednesday, Aug. 21 and will battle for box office dollars with Simon Pegg's "Worlds End," the horror flick "You're Next" and the Kung-fu film "The Grandmaster."
"The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of fantasy violence and action, and some suggestive content and has a run-time of 2 hours and 10 minutes.
