The moms behind Olympic figure skating champions Meryl Davis and Charlie White

The mothers of 2014 Olympic ice dancing champions Meryl Davis and Charlie White are experts at being supportive figure skating parents.

Davis and White began skating together when they were only nine and eight years old. Both mothers did a lot of driving, spent a lot of money, woke up early, traveled to competitions, and sat in cold ice rinks for hours. They made sure skates were polished, did hair and makeup, and also made sure costumes were packed, ready, and worn at the right time, and they cheered for their kids and also hugged them.

Very few figure skaters "make it" without a supportive ice skating mom in the background, and it looks like Cheryl Davis and Jacqui White did a great job!
