The Mexican flying humanoid from MonsterQuest; a baloon hoax, or something else?

This Wednesday MonsterQuest examined an older story known by many who read the news of esoterica, The Flying Humanoids of Mexico.

News of this odd flying being first became popular through a series of televised news reports in 2006.

Here is one of the stories from Primer Impacto, (First Impact) is a Spanish language television news program broadcast by Univision in the USA:

MonserQuest relied heavily upon the balloon theory as an explanaition to this case, which does match up with most of the evidence. However, there is another explenation of this phenomena that should be explored. Here is a Youtube video from Guzman213 on Youtube. It shows an old piece of military hardware from the 60s.

Looks very simular to our flying witch. Now give this technology 40+ years to evolve and who knows how small the device has to be to bouy a humanoid figure across a mountainscape.

Here is a longer video of the flying 'witch' or 'humanoid' :

Makes you wonder.

You be the judge.

In regards to the flying humanoid article. One of the explanations given was that it was possibly a sighting of a jet pack or device. While intriguing and a possible explanation. I recall many years ago as a child I had an opportunity to witness a demonstration of a backpack jet. It did indeed work but I also recall it was LOUD. You couldn't even scream at the person next to you and be heard. It is this fact that I dismiss the jet pack explanation. The witness accounts do not mention any loud noises. In fact, it should have been so loud as to be a key feature of the account.

I don't buy the balloon theory for one simple reason, the speed at which the object is moving. The only way a balloon could move that fast is if it were caught in some kind of high speed air current which was also very limited in size so as not to show any effects any place but on the balloon.

The jetpack theory is by far the best, especially if a person/company had developed one that was quiet and had a very good range for which the military might be interested. And what better way to demo it than in front of a large number of unsuspecting people.

Interesting thing about the video is the object does not re-appear beyond the end of the hill. Also seems to use the hill as something of a camouflage. It stands out enough from the background so it can be seen but not clearly but then when it gets into the deep shadows it disappears. Could it have possibly landed in a dark area where it could not be seen?

Before you be skeptical about this maybe it would help to learn about what our own bodies are capable of --

Good to be a skeptic -- too skeptical - that is arrogance.

Jet packs can only fly short distances due to the fuel they consume in a quick manner. Balloons seem to be the rational explanation and air currents can't been seen.

The brain, the emotional part of, tries to make sense of shapes, "that looks like a snake in the grass so it must be a snake in the grass". The rational part of our brain does the investigation, "that certainly looks like a snake in the grass but it's actually a garden hose".
