This past Wednesday, the Metro Show held its opening night at Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea. The Metro Show is an annual gathering of art galleries and antique dealers from all across the country that come together to showcase fine art, Folk Art, traditional furniture, and ethnographic work, among other materials. This year’s show had over 30 exhibitors which included Zane Bennett Contemporary Art, Pace Prints, Giampietro Gallery, David Cook Galleries, Samuel Herrup Antiques, Luise Ross Gallery, and Gemini Antiques Ltd.
Highlights from the show included Americana art and an assortment of contemporary paintings. There were a number of framed historical American flags along with other American relics from the past. Other great pieces of art included abstract landscapes, Tiffany Studios mosaics, and family portraits. All in all, the Metro Show provided a great display of remarkable art. The event will be around till January 27 so definitely check it out!
