The theatrical release of The Maze Runner, the movie adaptation of James Dashner's young adult series, has been delayed until September 2014.
Originally slated for release in February, The Maze Runner will now come out September 19th.
"Good news and bad news y'all," director Wes Ball wrote on Twitter. "Bad news, you have to wait a bit longer. Good news, the movie and marketing can be the best it can be now."
The Maze Runner is set in a futuristic world, in which Thomas (Dylan O'Brien) and other "Gladers" must team up to find a way out of a maze, surrounded by large stone walls. The biggest mystery is when a girl (Kaya Scodelario) -- the first girl to ever arrive in "the Glade" -- shows up with a surprising message.
