“The league plays from April to October,” said Andrew Donaldson, PGA of Canada director of golf operations for The Marshes. “The format sees players compete in a four-ball match-play format, combine to battle together in team competitions, go for prizes in weekly and yearlong skill contests, savour themed menu options in our Ironstone Grill and receive exclusive offers on equipment, clothing and accessories from our pro shop.”

The opening night of play is to be followed by a meet-and-greet get-together at 7 p.m.

The registration fee is $100 per person and includes online handicapping, league scoring, the opening social event and a closing tournament. Each squad in the 16-team circuit is required to have five members.

Weekly cost is $48 per person and includes nine holes of golf, shared power cart, practice at the golf academy, use of the day lockers and prizing.

The matches get under way at 4:30 p.m., with the start time being subject to change depending on the sunset hour.

The Marshes will wrap up the league’s season in style by hosting the Commons Cup Tournament and Dinner in the Ironstone Grill.

Players can check out the culinary and social graces of the Ironstone Grill on April 11 when it welcomes diners to a Tapas and Wine Pairing Evening starting at 6 p.m.

For the price of $29.95, guests will choose morsels from a menu of assorted Tapas plates that are paired with fine wines.
