Johnny Depp loves his privacy, and the homes he's purchased only accentuate that fact. From an old English mansion, to a beautiful French home in the country, and even his own private island, Johnny does everything he can to really get away from it all when he's not working.
While filming the Pirates of the Caribbean series, Depp fell in love with the Bahamas and, in 2004, decided to buy his own Caribbean island, Little Halls Pond Cay.
Johnny was quoted by The Sun in November of 2010 saying,
Even though we have the luxury of being able to live in different places we still live very simply. We're not on any millionaire trip and we try to give our children as normal a life as we can. The money buys privacy, security and independence. But I don't really indulge in a lavish lifestyle except for maybe some expensive bottles of wine, and our island, which is our private paradise. It's where I can spend the whole day sitting on the beach, watching our kids play and staring into the sunset. (Source: The Sun, November 27, 2010).
Life & Style magazine reported that Johnny has just purchased a gorgeous country estate estimated at over $10 million from Burnham Westgate Hall in Norfolk.
The stately property was built in 1750 and boasts 13 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms.
Depp also owns homes in Plan de la Tour, France, West Hollywood, as well as a private island in the Bahamas.
