The Manhattan Transfer schedule for 2013

Not much has been written about the music group Manhattan Transfer (MT). In fact, we were wondering if they were still out there. So, we looked. They are!

Tim Hauser, Laurel Massé, Alan Paul and Janis Siegel are the original members that made up the group that was MT. In 1979, Cheryl Bentyne joined the group, to replace Massé. You might remember them from such classics as, "Birdland, "Blee Blop Blues," "Boy From New York City," "Killer Joe," "Route 66" or "Tuxedo Junction." MT has been singing together since 1973.

MT is one of the fastest thinking/singing groups you will ever hear. Ever. And their a capella hits are the smoothest a capella hits that has ever been recorded. Ever.

The good news, is that they are still performing and here is the schedule;

March 28, 2013: Count Basie Theatre

March 29, 2013: Birchmere

May 17, 2013: Mayo Performing Arts Center

June 14, 2013: Riviera Theatre
