As the weather gets colder, moms don’t necessarily have to put away their front infant carriers and exclusively go around town with strollers. Canadian Spirit now offers the stylish, cleverly designed M Coat to keep both moms and infants warm while they continue to enjoy the convenience and mobility of front carriers, like navigating all those concrete steps at the metro stop without an escalator.
The coat has a removable panel that can be zipped into the front. For expecting mothers, having the panel zipped with the wider end at the bottom creates a fashionable maternity coat.
Then the panel can be zipped with the wider end on top folded so that babies can look out from a warm cocoon of machine-washable Canadian down.
When entering a heated building or the warm underground metro, moms can simply unzip the jacket to vent. It comes in a variety of colors with a removable faux-fur hood. The M Coat also has large pockets for easy access to cell phones, keys, burp cloths, or a favorite small toy.
Moms can purchase the M Coat at Boutique Bummis on Mont-Royal. Although the coat is pricy (around $400 with taxes), it can be considered an investment. The M coat, described on its site as “fashion-meets-function outerwear,” can transition to a regular coat without the front panel and hopefully last through many winters.

That's really cool and nice photo :-)
I wish I'd had that coat when my kids were little! Nice to know it's available in Montreal :)

That looks awesome! If I had an infant and I lived in a cold place, I'd buy one!
What an awesome idea!
