The Lycée Français de San Francisco hosts a return recital by Antonia Denavit

Soprano Antonia Denavit will return to the Théâtre du Lycée Français de San Francisco to give a recital program entitled Olé! As may be guessed from the title, the selections will present the Spanish repertoire. This will include traditional sources such as folk songs, zarzuela, copla, tonadilla, and tango. The program will also present examples of the impact of these sources on European and American composers, including Enrique Granados, Joaquín Turina, Maurice Ravel, Gioachino Rossini, Ástor Piazzolla, and Kurt Weill. Denavit will be accompanied on piano by Kerrilyn Renshaw and on guitar by Curtis Renshaw.

This concert will take place in the Théâtre de Lycée Français (1201 Ortega Street) on Friday, March 8, at 8 p.m. Tickets are $13 for general admission and $10 for students with identification. Tickets for this concert may be purchased through the event page on Brown Paper Tickets. Tickets may also be purchased at the door.
