The Ludvico Treatment: 'Uncollected' (2013)

"Uncollected" by The Ludvico Treatment is a thick and heady noise pop album.

Production on the album isn't the highest in the world, but the sonic sound accomplished through heavy layers of multiple experimental guitars is very thick- and almost ambient, and all the while they still maintain more standard rock structures (for the most part)... this is no easy feat. This style allows The Ludvico Treatment to remain eclectic and atmospheric, while still having an underlying catchy nature to their sound.

Tracks like "Philomena" are centered around epic instrumental builds. The track "Listing" focus a build in a more traditional way and feature sparse vocals and several refrains, which really strengthen the build overall.

The final track "Reducing the Patient by Physic" is by no means stripped down, but somehow provides the most intimate sound on the record, leaving the listener on a more introspective note.
