The Loyalty of Loved Ones

Being loyal to someone who is not there brings a toll on both parties and takes a lot of mental work most of all. Especially on situations where the loved one is locked up and will not be in your presence for a long time. This society we live in practices and promote infidelity, impatience, open relationships, broken homes, and un-loyalty. If not checked these stigmas can creep into your relationship and skew your mind on how to act and behave when your mate is away. If you are one who believes in a higher power your love for him is continuous no matter how far you feel he is. There are other times we experience time apart from a loved one in a positive way that does not have us disrespecting our vows to one another. For example, college, war, business or professional jobs etc…

Sometimes the inmate waits years to be with the one they love to find out they don’t love them anymore and have moved on. Financial issues along with raising children can occur. He or she may have to come home to a pile of bills and children that are not theirs biologically because of infidelity.

Negative things can take place in any case being away from your partner. This changes things for a lot of people in their mind due to them having to serve years in prison. Setting boundaries and expectations on each other gives you something to work with. It will help you communicate better your desires and needs when they are away. You will have to go through the loneliness and pain but at the end you won’t be deceived. There is no crime to hold on to a relationship you have built and put sweat into. You do not have to divorce or break up because of jail/prison time. Set goals, reach out to each other as much as possible, compromise on living provisions if need be.
