The lovesac plus Steve Martin equal a date night

Calling all Steve Martin fans, you don’t want to miss out on the opportunity to see a special showing of the Steve Martin classic, “The Jerk.” On Friday, February 5th and Saturday, February 6th the Landmark’s Inwood Theater will have a special midnight showing of this hilariously awesome movie.

The Inwood Theater is the perfect spot for a date night and this movie which will show in the screening lounge is a divine accompaniment. In 2008 Landmark Theaters introduced the fabulously new screening lounge auditorium at the Dallas Inwood Theater. This modern twist on movie-going is the first to be introduced in Texas.

Movie patrons on Friday and Saturday will have the wonderful opportunity of experiencing this unique one-of-a-kind lounge. Couches, chairs, ottomans, and the “love sac” adorn the auditorium. A private bar is also located within the lounge. Steve Martin fans will be surprised to know that this auditorium comes equipped with blankets and pillows to provide that “at-home” comfortable feeling. The plush furniture can be moved, arranged and rearranged to provide maximum comfort or for group seating. In addition to these wonderful creature comforts, patrons can purchase cocktails, sodas, and other refreshing beverages without leaving the auditorium.

This perfect date night begins at midnight (12:00 a.m.) at the Inwood Theater located at 5458 W. Lovers Lane at Inwood. Ticket prices are $10 and can be purchase at the event or on-line. For more information call 214-764-9106.

This midnight madness event is brought to you by the Dallas Observer and Premiere Video. Other upcoming midnight movies include: Vertigo, The Room, and the uncut version of The Evil Dead. Email Elisha at
