The Hollywood Reporter reveals that there’s more LOST left than you think! ABC has extended the LOST series finale by thirty minutes … giving the show an astonishing five and a half hour block on May 23.
The producers of ABC's hit drama have shot so much crucial material for the show's hugely anticipated series finale that the network has agreed to extend the last episode by an extra half-hour.
As previously reported, the finale was already slated for a record-setting showing on the 23rd … with a two hour recap (LOST: The Final Journey) airing from 7-9pm; the finale, itself, running from 9-11pm; and the live Jimmy Kimmel special from 11:35-12:35 EST following the news. The Kimmel special promises to showcase cast members Evangeline Lilly, Michael Emerson, Jorge Garcia, Daniel Dae Kim, and Elizabeth Mitchell, among others – as well as an exclusive message from executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse. With the new extension, the finale will now run from 9-11:30pm – pushing back the local news and Kimmel (now airing at 12:05am).
As part of a final week full of LOST events, ABC is also airing the pop-up version of the show's original two-hour pilot on Saturday, May 22 … one last chance to see the whole gang together.

Update: Just watched Jorge Garcia on Jimmy Kimmel and Kimmel says his live special on finale night will feature "pretty much the whole cast" of LOST. :)
