New music from Johnny Cash is ready and waiting for you. Rolling Stone reported on March 24, 2014 that the country music legend had created the never before heard music before he was dropped from his record label that was discovered by his son. John Carter Cash had found the unreleased recordings that created the new album titled “Out Among the Stars.”

The new album “Out Among the Stars” is made up of 12 songs that Cash had recorded between the years 1981 and 1984 which includes duets with Waylon Jennings and June Carter Cash. John Carter Cash is the only son of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash.

John Carter Cash spoke about the never before heard music on the new album and discussed the song "She Used to Love Me a Lot" by saying "I really love this song." Cash added "The depth that's there reminds me of the real serious stuff that Dad did later in his life. And I truly think it's one of the beautiful undiscovered gems in my dad's catalog."

John Carter Cash also described his father during an interview by saying "He was a man of a lot of laughter" adding "Why not let the light endure? Yes, this cool image whatever brings people in, and it's part of who he was. I still haven't figured everything out about my dad, and I probably never will. And that darkness, that's truth. But that's not the full picture."
