Yesterday, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced that Helm's Deep, the next expansion of The Lord of the Rings Online, will launch on November 18th. They also released a list of perks for players who pre-purchase the expansion.
The centerpiece of the new expansion is the Battle for Helm's Deep, which characters can take part in as early as level 10. Promising to be the most epic conflict so far in The Lord of the Rings Online, players can earn special rewards for their contribution to the war effort. New areas will be available to explore, and characters will be able to advance to the new level cap of 95. With the level increase comes new skills and updated class specializations.
The expansion is available in both a "Base Edition" and a "Premium Edition." Both editions will allow access to all the new content and the level cap increase. The Base Edition retails for $39.99 and includes these items:
- Hauberk of the Hammerhand (an exclusive chest piece)
- Helm's Enforcer title
- 1000 Turbine points
The Premium Edition is $59.99 and grants even more special items:
- Full set of Hammerhand armor
- +10 quest log slots
- Crystal of Remembrance
- Helm's Enforcer title
- Helm's Avenger title
- 2000 Turbine points
There are also special items for players who purchase the expansion prior to launch, including items that increase experience point gain and exclusive mounts.
