Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest is coming Autumn of 2009

Ready to turn your Wiimote into a sword? The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest is hitting the Nintendo Wii in August of this year. The game is the first game to offer authentic Lord of the Rings gameplay for the Wii and is designed for cooperative play for the whole family.

Players will assume the role of Aragorn during his adventures from the Lord of the Rings. Gamers will explore Middle Earth and lead armies into battle. And the co-op mode lets Gandalf unleash his magic on the enemy.

The game will take full advantage of the Wii-Remote and Nunchuck, though there is no mention of whether it will support the new Wii MotionPlus. It is also coming out for the PS2, PSP and DS, so it may not take full advantage of the Wii's unique interface.
