Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck are returning to television on Tuesday night. The premiere of the ‘The Looney Tunes Show’ puts the two beloved characters of Warner Bros along with their pals back on television in the animated feature weekly on the Cartoon Network. Appropriate for the kids as well as the adults, the funny faces of the cartoons popular years ago have been bumped to reflect our times and take on 2011.
The ‘The Looney Tunes Show’ also features the segment called ‘Merrie Melodies.’ Animated music videos of original songs that will spotlight the characters weekly, plus all-new adventures with the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote will be seen in stunning CG.
Promising to see all the favorites from years, past the characters on the show’s billing include Porky Pig, Yosemite Sam, Speedy Gonzalez, Lola Bunny, Granny, the Witch, Foghorn Leghorn and other faces familiar to fans of the original Looney Tunes. Yes, the entire cast will be returning to the show.
The original Looney Tunes were started by Leon Schlesinger Productions in 1933. Schlesinger sold his studio to Warner Bros. in 1944, and Warner Bros. Cartoons continued the cartoons until 1963. The premiere on Tuesday night is the first time the Warner Bros characters have returned to the television in over 25 years.
Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, sharing the same screen is always entertaining. Finding it on the channel at home, in a fresh and new program has got to be defined as heaven. ‘The Looney Tunes Show’ premieres tonight on Cartoon Network. Check your local listings for show time.
