‘The Lone Ranger’ Super Bowl Ad 2013 hits the Internet

On Sunday Feb. 3, 2013 the NFL Super Bowl XLV11 will match up the Baltimore ‘Ravens’ vs. The San Francisco ‘49ers.’ The football game will be broadcast live on the CBS network from the city of New Orleans. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. EST / 5:30 p.m. CST. The film studios of Disney, Paramount & Universal have all bought $4 million 30 second ads which will run during the game. - Universal will run the film trailer of “Fast & the Furious 6” - Paramount will run Brad Pitt’s “World War Z” & “Star Trek into Darkness” - Marvel will run “Ironman 3” - Disney will run “Oz: The Great and Powerful” & they just released on Jan. 29 the sneak peak of “The Lone Ranger.” That 90 second trailer will play during Sunday’s Super Bowl pre-game show. It stars Johnny Depp (Tonto) & Armie Hammer (Lone Ranger).

In this new trailer ad - The ‘Lone Ranger’ & ‘Tonto’ are standing side by side on top of a fast moving train. They both claim that they will fight only for justice. ‘Tonto’ has on the painted make up & the dead crow sitting on top of his head. He is also doing his best voice impersonation of Jay Silverheels who portrayed ‘Tonto’ back in the 1950s. The film will be narrated by Johnny Depp in ‘Tonto’s’ voice & he is bordering on camp which looks to be a comic performance. “The Lone Ranger” opens in U.S movie theaters summer 2013.

According to the official website of "The Lone Ranger" the synopsis is right here - “From producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski - the filmmaking team behind the blockbuster "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise - comes Disney/Jerry Bruckheimer Films' -- "The Lone Ranger" - A thrilling adventure infused with action and humor in which the famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes.
