A Daily Word from the Word for Tuesday, March 5, 2013
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” – Hebrews 11:1
Many of the Father’s ‘Daily Word’ these past two weeks have focused on God’s Word being living and active, and faith. The Father has been putting these revelations in my spirit because He needs to build up His people (present, and future) for such a time as this through His Word.
The devil is working overtime in this country because he knows we are living in the end times, and his time is coming to an end. This dastardly demon wants to take as many of God’s creation down with him; but we are not going to let him! God’s people need to come out swinging with the Word of God by building ourselves up in our most holy faith! (Jude 1:20).
I was set to write about a dream that the Lord had given to me; but sensed in my spirit so strongly this morning (tomorrow morning for you, family) to write concerning faith and the woman with the issue of blood found in the Book of Luke. I have re-slotted this dream for Thursday’s message; when hopefully, I am released to do so.
The Word of God reveals to us that faith is the evidence of things not seen. Let us turn to this woman for a living example of this verse: “Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any, came from behind and touched the border of His [Jesus’] garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped. And Jesus said, ‘Who touched Me?’ When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, ‘Master, the multitudes throng and press You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ But Jesus said, ‘Somebody touched Me, for I perceived virtue going out from Me.’ Now when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before Him, she declared to Him in the presence of all the people the reason she had touched Him and how she was healed immediately. And He said to her, ‘Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace’” (Luke 8:43-48).
Too often, we look for the evidence seen rather than the evidence unseen. The evidence seen is what causes us to miss it. Evidence seen is not the substance of faith. Faith is not fueled by evidence seen, but by evidence unseen; which is the Living Word of God. The evidence seen is merely the manifestation of faith—it is the by-product, the result of drawing upon the virtue of the evidence unseen, which is the power of God’s Word.
This woman pressed through and pushed through the crowd; where the crowd represented the world’s doubt and unbelief, and the world’s challenge to the Word of God. She didn’t focus on her condition, but rather focused on the Living Word of God in the person of Jesus Christ. And when her faith made contact with the Living Word, the evidence was released. Even at this point, this woman of faith didn’t wait for the evidence seen as proof that she was healed; because she already had the proof through the evidence unseen—the power of the Living God! The Word of God contains the virtue, which is the power; which, when our faith connects to it, releases the evidence not seen, which gives us the victory!
Whatever your situation, whatever your circumstance, do not allow it to dictate your faith; but rather, connect your faith to the Living Word of God to activate the evidence unseen which brings forth the victory that God has already secured for you at the Cross of Calvary.
Father, thank You that we are sons and daughters of faith. Thank you for your Word, which is living and active. Help us to connect our faith to your Living Word, which releases Your virtue that activates that mountain-moving evidence not seen. In Jesus Name, we thank you for the rising up of our faith, which we walk in every second of every day. Amen and Amen!
Take action! Challenge your thinking! Choose to touch God every day by coming in contact with His Word. Choose to focus on the evidence of things not seen, and stop being distracted by the crowd. Thank your Father each day for you possessing mountain-moving faith that is pleasing to Him. And continue to fight the good fight of pressing through the crowd and reaching for the Savior; for God, your Most Powerful Evidence, has already given you the victory!
God tells us that we are blessed to be a blessing (Genesis 12:2). Be a blessing to someone by sending them this word of encouragement. If God did not already put someone in your spirit and on your heart that needs to read this uplifting message from above, simply ask your Heavenly Father who to bless on today. Forward this message right now by email, facebook, or twitter.
May God Bless you and keep you always.
With warmest regards,
