The ratings for “The Little Couple” return are in, and they are big. Fans had made it clear they were anxious to have Dr. Jen Arnold and Bill Klein back on their televisions sets, and the numbers prove the case. Zap2It shared the details via TV by the Numbers on March 5.
Tuesday night's new episode of “The Little Couple” scored the long-running show its highest ratings ever among several demographics. The new episode showcased Jen, Bill and their son Will traveling to India to meet Zoey, their newest family member. The episode also featured Arnold struggling with her health, and fans know this will lead to some heartbreaking moments that will be shown throughout this season.
Technically called season “6b,” “The Little Couple” premiere scored big in social media activity as well. They ended up with three trending hashtags on Twitter: #LittleCouple, #thelittlecouple and #WelcomeZoey. EW adds that the new episode finished the night as the top cable show among both viewers and women 25-54 according to Nielsen. Some would say this goes to show that positive, uplifting reality TV can be worth the effort to put together.
The next new episode of “The Little Couple,” airing March 11, shows more of Jen's initial cancer battle. The episode is titled “The Unexpected” and it will sure have fans reaching for their tissues. Luckily since these episodes were filmed, Dr. Jen Arnold has been able to share with fans that she has beaten the cancer into remission. That doesn't mean, however, that these episodes won't be tough for both the family and the fans to watch.
