The season finale of “The Little Couple” aired this week and the episode was a touching vow renewal between Dr. Jen Arnold and Bill Klein. As many fans would expect, the ratings were fantastic. On Thursday The Futon Critic shared the ratings and “The Little Couple” renewal news.
Season 6 of “The Little Couple” had great ratings throughout, and Tuesday's finale was the highest-rated episode of the series. The show also is now officially the top TLC series this year in ratings. This ratings bonanza just goes to show that fans will step up and embrace quality reality TV when it is offered.
It has been a busy and challenging year for Jen and Bill. Over the past year they adopted both Will and Zoey, but they also faced a difficult battle against cancer. Luckily the family is in a good place now. As the vow renewal show aired, Arnold tweeted that “It was the #BestDayYet THANK YOU @ReallyBillKlein for being the love of my life! #BillLovesJen.” Jen cried throughout the surprises in the season finale, and fans did too.
Many assumed that season 7 of “The Little Couple” was a go for TLC, and they were right. Obviously the network would be crazy to walk away from this show given the strong ratings, but some wondered if Bill and Jen might feel the need for a break. Apparently they are game to return for more. It seems new episodes will premiere this fall.
Though there isn't a specific season 7 “The Little Couple” premiere date available yet, it's good to know more is definitely on the way. Fans have loved to laugh and cry right along with Dr. Jen Arnold and Bill Klein, and there were plenty of opportunities for both this past season. Here's hoping the new episodes of “The Little Couple” will be filled with fun and joy as Arnold's cancer remains in remission.
