Recently, Vita Coco hosted a launch party for its new Vita Coco Coconut Oil at Haven’s Kitchen in Chelsea. Vita Coco Extra Virgin Coconut Oil is 100% organic, 100% raw, and cold-pressed. The product has a number of great uses such as a healthy alternative to butter in cooking, baking, and frying; part of a beauty regimen as a moisturizer and hair conditioner; and part of a balanced diet plan as a dietary supplement that can be added to a morning smoothie to boost up your energy and metabolism.

At the event, there were demos with the Vita Coco Coconut Oil to showcase some of the product’s incredible benefits. David Mawhinney, Executive Chef at Haven’s Kitchen, and actress Nikki Reed demonstrated to guests the culinary uses of the product by preparing the VitaGreen Smoothie and Vita Coco Coconut Oil Asian Lettuce Wraps. Other gastronomic creations made with the coconut oil were served such as Vita Coco Coconut Oil Spiced Popcorn, Vita Coco Coconut Oil No-Bake Bars, Vita Coco Coconut Oil Sweet Potato Chips, and Vita Coco Coconut Oil Ricotta Crostini. Libations at the event included the VitaGreen Smoothie, the Vita-lini, the Anytime Cooler, and The Watermelon’s Fine.

The other demo focused on tips for supplementing your beauty routine with Vita Coco Coconut Oil. One of the tips was to add a spoonful of the oil to your favorite moisturizer for extra smooth skin. Another one was to use the product for oil pulling for about 20 minutes to get rid of toxins in your mouth and improve gum health. Be on the lookout for Vita Coco Coconut Oil later this month at select department stores and specialty retailers as well as via Amazon. You won’t be disappointed!
