The Last Vampire and A Time For Demons

In the novel "BEFORE THE END: A Time of Demons," there are monsters maiming and killing everywhere.

Ever since Cassandra Graystone was a child and her family perished in a fire, she has known and seen things other people don’t -- when someone will die or when a demon lurks beneath human skin. She sees phantoms. Cassandra fears she’s going insane or something terrifying is happening in the world. Demons persecute her and those she loves, burn down her home and force her family and friends onto the road. Cataclysmic weather and signs of the end days make things hellish for humans. Cassandra and her friends can no longer deny their destinies. She doesn’t want her life to change; doesn’t want to be a nomad who battles demons. She doesn’t want to be anyone’s protector. Until a tornado flattens Sarah’s house. Then she must fight…or see the remnants of humanity engulfed in flames.

In the novel "THE LAST VAMPIRE," first the earthquakes, global floods and devastating fires arrive. The human race, displaced and panicked, migrate to any place there’s food and shelter. Then the worldwide plague arrives with its stench of death. As mankind suffers and dies out, vampires, their numbers
dwindling from the same sickness, struggle and fight fiercely among themselves to survive in a world where there aren’t enough humans to feed upon. As the months go by they become more desperate and more ruthless. Emma's world disintegrates around her. Her family is dead, and Emma must fight off an unnatural hunger as she becomes one of the undead. Defying her unwanted destiny she’s determined to resist the bloodlust she feels, the need to kill and feed on human blood. But she’s so hungry…and the night calls.

"BEFORE THE END: A Time of Demons" and "THE LAST VAMPIRE" are by Kathryn Meyer Griffith, who has been been writing for over 40 years, with fourteen novels and seven short stories to her name. She has been writing about ghosts, haunted places and evil vampires long before Stephanie Meyer's "Twilight" series (no relation even though her maiden name is Meyer).
