When Naughty Dog originally announced The Last of Us Season Pass, it was revealed that two of the add-ons would add content for the game’s multiplayer mode while the third would introduce the studios’ first attempt at story-based DLC. However, even though the single-player DLC pack The Last of Us: Left Behind has already been released, the developer revealed on Feb 28 that the next add-on will also bring a new feature to the game’s original campaign mode in the form of a new difficulty setting.

While the rest of the new content from the third DLC pack for The Last of Us has been confirmed to bring new weapons and maps to the game’s multiplayer mode, the upcoming add-on will also add an unspecified difficulty mode for the single-player story mode. Naughty Dog isn’t revealing any further details on what the new difficulty setting may be other than the fact that there will defiantly be a new mode.

The Last of Us is out now as a Playstation 3 exclusive.
