The various pre-order bonuses for “The Last of Us Remastered” on the PS4 have been revealed. According to a report from Den of Geek on April 16, Sony Computer Entertainment revealed that customers can get several gameplay upgrades in the survival-horror action-adventure title. However, the extras should not have a big impact, at least when it comes to the single-player campaign.

The Last of Us Remastered” pre-order bonuses will increase the crafting and healing speed of the character. With crafting, players can create various useful items from raw ingredients. Increasing the speed should provide speed up the creation process, especially during more emergency situations. The recovery speed should also help players avoid dying.

The other upgrades from the pre-order pack include an ammo capacity upgrade for the rifle along with a speed increase for reloading the 9mm. Two new skins will also be available for Joel and Ellie after beating the single-player campaign for the first time. Finally, Sony Computer Entertainment is giving away bonus experience points for the multiplayer mode.

“The Last of Us Remastered” has officially been confirmed to come out exclusively for the PS4 later this summer. According to VG247, a few retailers such as Best Buy, Game Fly and Target have listed a release date of June 20, which is approximately a week after the end of E3 2014. Sony Computer Entertainment followed a similar launch strategy last year with “The Last of Us” on the PS3, which ended up selling six million units so far in less than a year.

The remastered port will take advantage of the PS4 hardware by providing a higher resolution and faster frame rate. The character models, lighting and shadows are going to be improved as well. The development of the PS4 version is being handled by Naughty Dog, the same studio behind the original version.
