Arne Meyer has commented on the differences between the recently-released, "The Last of Us Remastered" as well as the upcoming "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End." According to a report from Gamepur on Aug. 4, the community strategist at Naughty Dog stated that the development team has only begun "scratching the surface" of the PS4. As a result, the studio should end up creating better-looking games for the next-generation system down the road.
Arne Meyer went on to talk a little bit about "The Last of Us Remastered," admitting that the video game was not built from the ground up for the PS4. However, the community strategist still believes that Naughty Dog was able to push the visuals quiet far. The development team increased the native resolution to 1080p from the original PS3 game. Furthermore, players also have the option to play the PS4 version at 60 frames per second with worse shadow effects or at a 30 frames per second clip with better-looking shadows.
"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" should look much better, however. Arne Meyer confirmed that the sequel has been built completely from the ground up for the new console. The first real-time trailer was shown off at the E3 2014 event in June, giving fans a first look at the character model of Nathan Drake as well as the environmental textures. The video game has a native resolution of 1080p and will be targeting a frame rate of 60 per second.
"The Last of Us Remastered" was released near the end of last month on July 29. "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" was confirmed in the same E3 2014 convention to be coming out sometime next year. Furthermore, Naughty Dog also started work on another new project, which is rumored to be a sequel to "The Last of Us."
