Naughty Dog announced today that “The Last of Us” demo that will be playable early for those who purchase “God of War: Ascension” next week, will become available for everyone to download on May 31. “The Last of Us” was originally set to release in the beginning of May but got pushed back to mid-June. The demo becoming available to all on May 31 will give gamers a couple of weeks to try the game until its official June 14 worldwide release. Those who pick up “God of War: Ascension” on March 12, however, will be able to play the demo early from the main menu of “God of War: Ascension.”
Developed by Naughty Dog, creators of the “Uncharted” franchise, “The Last of Us” places players inside a post-apocalyptic survival game that promises to feature action and deep characterization. The dramatic story told by the game focuses on a man and teenage girl as they try to survive inside a world destroyed by plague. The two can’t just stock up on supplies and wait out the end however, as they are put on a quest to travel across the remains of the former United States.
“The Last of Us” will release exclusively on the Playstation 3 on June 14 from Naughty Dog.
