‘The Last of Us’ fans get a Valentine’s Day greeting from Naughty Dog

Naughty Dog is celebrating Valentine’s Day early by releasing new holiday artwork for their popular series such as The Last of Us and Uncharted. The developer released the Valentine-themed art on Feb 12 which depicts stylish renditions of popular Naughty Dog created characters accompanied by appropriate Valentine’s Day messages.

The artwork was created by Naughty Dog artists Alexandria Neonakis and Lily Nishita specifically for the Valentine’s Day celebration. This is the second year in a row that the developer honored the holiday with original artwork. While there are images based upon both Uncharted and Jak and Daxter, the majority of the pieces feature characters and images from The Last of Us.

The Valentine’s Day post also served as a reminder to fans that The Last of Us’ first single-player DLC is also set to release on Friday. The story driven add-on serves as a prologue to the game’s main campaign and will reveal the events that led Ellie to eventually begin her cross-country trek with Joel.

The Last of Us is now available exclusively on the Playstation 3.
