The often-delayed video game, “The Last Guardian,” has re-appeared on the Playstation Store. According to a report from Gear Nuke on Dec. 23, a fan spotted the listing on the official shopping website from Sony Computer Entertainment.
“The Last Guardian” is apparently still coming out for the PS3 current-generation consoles. The product page on the Playstation Store also disclosed that players will be able to “take charge of an imaginary creature” in order to explore “a strange and fantastic world.” You can find some screens from the action-adventure video game in the slideshow to the left of this article and the list of features below:
- Directed by multi-award-winning game director Fumito Ueda
- Take charge of an imaginary creature blending elements from many different animals
- A strange and fantastic world for you to explore
The same listing also suggested that “The Last Guardian” will only be available on discs. Sony Computer Entertainment has been releasing first-party video games on the Playstation Store on the same day as the launch of the retail copies. However, it appears that the publisher won’t be doing the same with the upcoming title.
The development for “The Last Guardian” was postponed indefinitely as a result of technical problems. The software product has been rumored to become a PS4 title.
Sony Computer Entertainment has remained quiet on the highly-anticipated video game when asked about its progress over the past several years. The company did reassure fans that it is still in development although no platform has been specified.
