Nell Sweetzer (Ashley Bell) no longer has to reside in a hospital. She goes home and is attempting to rebuild what has been taken from her (The Last Exorcism, 2010), when the demon(s?) return.
Our protagonist ignores the chasms between reality and horror, not seeming to give any of it much thought.
Cecile (Tarra Riggs) is an intuitive who literally pulls Nell into her place of business, as she's walking along, so that she can attempt an exorcism.
Chris: Is it true, that you've never had a boyfriend?
Nell: I was pregnant, though...at least, I thought I was.
Nell: There was a darkness, now it's gone.
Nell: They'll kill us all.
Nell: See, I told ya I was nuts.
