The Langstroth Cottage

The Langstroth Cottage is located at 303 Patterson Avenue in Oxford.  It is located on the Miami University campus.  This cottage is a historic landmark and was originally built back in the mid-1850's, 1858 to be exact.  It was built by a guy by the name of Reverend Edward Root.  In 1859, Lorenzo Langstroth bought the house.  It sits on 0 acres of land and was built in the Greek Revival architectural style.  It has been used for many purposes such as an academic building to a faculty residence.  It is currently being used as office space for professors.
