If you like the sound of streams and soothing water then you will love the Lakes in Long Beach, California. The Lakes is a large condo community near the 605 freeway and Spring Street that is gated with many condo units featuring balconies and fireplaces.

The Lakes has tennis counts, waterfalls, pool, a large clubhouse, lily pad ponds, fountains, streams, ducks, fish and turtles. Plus there are lots of trees and a few large geese can be spotted sitting by the water as well. People living at the Lakes can walk to Eldorado Park and Nature Center and are close to a bike path. The clubhouse at the Lakes features a workout room, game room, showers and sauna.

The Lakes has one bedroom condos, 2 bedroom condos and some three bedroom condos with attached garages. There are 260 units in the large community and considering its large size there is relatively low turnover in the community.

Currently according to the Multiple Listing Service there are five active condos at the community, one taking back up offers only, and one condo is in escrow. Seven condos in the community have sold in the last six months. One bedrooms sold in the last 6 months ranged from $155,000 to $205,000 at 633sf to 745sf. The most recent two bedroom sold for $220,000 and is size at 960sf. Two 3 bedrooms sold from $280,000 to $295,000 and are sized at 1191sf.
