The LA Galaxy has been scheduled to play a friendly game against English giants Manchester United on July 23rd at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California.

As reported by the official Galaxy website, the Angeleno team and English team, Man U, will be playing against each other for the first time in history.

Additionally, Man U will be playing against the LA Galaxy three days before they begin their International Champions Cup tournament in the United States that also includes Man City, AC Milan, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Roma, Inter Milan, and Olympiakos.

All the teams from Europe will be touring the United States in this spectacular tournament that the US will be hosting during the summer. Last year, the inauguration of this tournament, it had included the LA Galaxy; however, the Angelenos will not participate this year.

This friendly match between Manchester United and the LA Galaxy will also take place 10 days after the World Cup in Brazil will be over. So, hopefully all of stars will actually show up for both teams for this historical friendly match.

The LA Galaxy only has two players that are most likely going to be in the US Men’s National Team, and that would include Landon Donovan and defender Omar Gonzalez.

As for Manchester City, they could have more than a dozen that might participate in the
World Cup this summer. This includes Wayne Rooney for England, Javier “El Chicharito” Hernandez for Mexico, Robin van Persie for the Netherlands, and Juan Mata for Spain, among others.

In the end, whether either team will or will not have their full squad participating, the match should be a good one, for it will be a match between one the best English teams ever against one of the best from the USA.
