The LA Galaxy loses to the Timbers in Portland by a goal. The loss puts the Angeleno team in fourth place of the Western Conference, while the victory for Portland leaves them in third.
The LA Galaxy went to Portland fully loaded with Landon Donovan, Omar Gonzalez, and Irish striker Robbie Keane. However, the Angeleno team did not gain the three points that was need to stay in the top three of the Western Conference.
In the second half, Keane scored from a set piece that would have put the game in a tie, but the linesman ruled it offsides. Keane was off by a hairline, and home team usually gets all the calls!
The Los Angeles Galaxy had also slightly dominated the game by outshooting and dominating the ball more than the Timbers. In the end, the Timbers put the ball in the net and managed a victorious home win against a tough Galaxy team.
The next game for the LA Galaxy is against home-field rivals Chiva USA, known as the SuperClasico, which is scheduled for Sunday.
