The most beautiful way of expressing one's feelings is kissing. There are so many different ways to kiss. These ways are endless depending on who one is kissing. But there are things one might not know about kissing that will blow your mind with amazement. These things will leave one wanting to kiss more or quit kissing altogether.
Kissing is healthy.
The act of kissing is actually healthy. It actually improves the skin, helps circulation, prevents tooth decay and can relieve headaches.
Kissing is exercise.
Did anyone ever say that a quick peck on the lips or cheek use only two facial muscles? Well, a French kiss is said to use all 34 muscles in the face. This is almost all of the facial muscles. Not only does kissing use facial muscles, they burn calories as well. A short kiss could burn a couple of calories. Yet, a passionate kiss can burn up to five calories. So, kissing for an entire minute could burn over 20 calories. Kissing for an hour could replace a gym workout.
Kissing is a drug.
The endorphins released during kissing are about 200 times more powerful than drugs. This is the reason one gets the "giddy" weightless feeling after kissing for a while. Who knew that the best drug high is both legal and (usually) free is possibly sitting right beside them.
Kissing passes germs.
A kiss can pass an estimated 280 types of bacteria from one person to another. Imagine how many germs a long kiss could pass. Studies stated that it could transmit over 10 million bacterium. That alone is reason enough to keep kissing to just one person that one knows and trust.
Kissing passes diseases.
Many are aware that mononucleosis (or mono) is passed by kissing. There are other diseases that could be passed by a kiss as well. For example, one could contract herpes from a single kiss.
So, kissing can be great and absolutely disgusting at the same time. Take this advice: choose one person to kiss and never stray from that person. If this is hard to do, limit the number of kissers. It could be a matter of health.
