There's a funny little pub in Islington called The Kings Head. From the street, it looks fairly unremarkable, like any other pub, which must be why yours truly has never really bothered to check it out. If she had, she would most certainly have written a review, given that she's just discovered something amazing: The Kings Head is more than just your average, run-of-the-mill pub offering beer and chats and trivia and, if you're lucky, live music. What they offer is theatre (yes, that's with the inverted 'er,' out of respect for the pub's location)!
As in, real live plays, on a small stage in a wee back room that used to be for boxing matches. How cool is that?! Not only do you not have to deal with West End crowds to see a fab production, you don't even have to leave your local pub!
If this particular writer were currently located in London, instead of lounging away the dwindling days of her Christmas holidays in San Francisco, she would most definitely be checking The Kings Head out immediately. As it is, she'll just have to wait a week. But you, dear readers, may rest assured that a review is IMMINENT.
