The 'KING' weds and I'm a guest!

The ‘King’ gets married and I’m a guest!
When ‘Big Elvis’ (a.k.a.Peter Vallee) married Amanda Rose Lasham last week at Bill’s Gambling Hall, it was a spectacular the likes of which Bill’s has never seen and Vegas rarely gets a chance to experience. Vegas is known for its surprises, but to the casual tourist who just happened to wander into Bill’s lounge it must have come as quite a shock! Over 200 beautifully adorned chairs had been cordoned off for the invited guests, yours truly’s party included.

Peter Vallee has long been a favorite of this town and as you will have read in my review of his show he presents one of the most amazing ‘Elvis’ impersonations its been my pleasure to watch. For over 7 years ‘Big Elvis’ (and I mean ‘Big’) has provided what must be one of the best ‘free’ shows in town. And what’s more once you’ve experienced his magic, like so many knowing regular visitors to our exciting city you will return again and again. So for all of us that have been privileged to call Peter a friend over these many years it was a joyous tear filled experience to see him tie the knot with his beautiful Amanda. My only criticism of the whole ceremony was that Peter (sorry Elvis) didn’t sing to his bride, and of course all of us! I couldn’t think of a more appropriate moment for “Love me Tender” than as he embraced his new bride!

Dr. Shield and Rose with the happy couple
Peter & Amanda, we send you our best wishes for a long and happy future together; please keep on loosing weight – you surly aren’t the biggest looser – not on this occasion anyway, and bringing the magic of Elvis back into all our lives! You can learn more about this amazing man in my earlier review “FREE ELVIS”, on this site and please do yourself a favor and don’t miss his free shows every Monday to Friday at 3, 5 and Bill’s Gambling hall on the corner of Flamingo and the Las Vegas Strip!
Dr. Peter J. Shield ( )
