The King Offers Small Fry Option

It is always interesting to me when we take a perfectly great tasting high calorie low nutrient item and try to make it healthier. Why is it not just perfectly acceptable to have some foods that pleasure per calorie matters rather than just the health value.

People should be able to indulge on occasion. Which by the way is the key to healthy living, by eating healthy 80% of the time and allowing ourselves the pleasure to have some higher calorie items in moderation. With a regular exercise program of at least 150 minutes per week of moderate to vigorous exercise a jump to a french fry once a month isn’t an issue in my book.

However, if you’re looking for an option to try something a bit better - Check out Burger Kings newest addition to the healthy fast food line up. Check out the “SATISFRIES” They are touted for “big taste with less fat”. Burger King statistics shows that one out of two people who enter Burger King will order french fries. The value french fry size are only 190 calories with 210 mg sodium and 8 grams of fat. Although this still puts this snack in the “junk food” range - it does give a better option for those craving without wanting the calories.

Let me know if you have tried them! I’m a McDonald’s fry girl.
