King’s music, though strongly influenced by blues, jazz, and swing, has been a mainstream staple of the American and international music scene for generations now, and his unabating passion for singing and playing his guitar, Lucille, shines through by virtue of the fact that even after 60 or so years, he still takes to the stage and wows the crowd, appearing at an astonishing 125 shows per year. The upcoming event at Napa’s Uptown Theatre is sure to be epic.
King’s 2014 tour, which includes 125 stops all across the country and down the west coast is sure to include many of his well known and deservedly popular tunes from a rich lifetime of live and recorded performances. Think “Thrill is Gone,” “Sweet Little Angel,” and “Let the Good Time Roll.” Then think about being in one of the best places in the San Francisco Bay Area to see a live show, because that’ll be the scene come February.
