This weekend, moviegoers will see the monstrous Smaug in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. With such fierce and mighty creature, could monster top this dragon? How about the King of Monsters? Next summer, an icon returns to the silver screen. This star is hard to miss. He's stands at 400 feet, covered in scales and has a roar like thunder. It is none other then Godzilla. For years now a new film about the King of Monsters has been in the works, with director Gareth Edward at the helm. Now at long last, fans can see what is in store next summer as the teaser to Godzilla is now online.

Before showing anything, the teaser treats us to scene of paratroopers dropping from the sky. For anyone unaware of the material, you could say that this trailer could be for a war film. Of course the destruction of city is suspicious, and the last indication of that this isn't for a war film is seeing a titanic silhouette coming out of the smoke. After that, we are featured to scenes from the film, culminating to the reveal of Godzilla as he releases his legendary roar. If you are a Godzilla fan, this teaser is a must watch.

The film will retell the story from the 1956 film; with several differences. The story follows the likes of the army men and scientist as they discover what happens when science goes wrong and releases the terror of Godzilla. The film stars Bryan Cranston, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn, Ken Watanabe, Sally Hawkins and Victor Rasuk.

Godzilla hits theaters on May 16,2014. This trailer will most likely be attached with The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, which hits theaters this Friday.
