John Nicholson, executive director of the Park, says -
We are thrilled to be honored by TripAdvisor as one of the Top 25 Amusement Parks in the United States, and are fully cognizant of the excellent company we are in. We understand and appreciate that it is not only TripAdvisor but also the reviews of our visitors that have afforded us this honor, and we will strive to continue to be worthy of their esteem and recognition.
To be sure, the Park is a unique and distinctive finalist in the amusement parks category since it is entirely devoted to the single attraction of “horsed.” Most everything at the Park revolves around the love, endurance and beauty of horses. Admission includes three distinct museums, each dedicated to a different aspect of the horse.
The Park frequently hosts equine competitions, breed shows, special breeds weekends, community events and even dog shows in various competition and show facilities that are conveniently located on the grounds. Most events are included with park admission. A full listing of events can be found at the Park’s website, KyHorsePark.com. www.KyHorsePark.com.
Additional activities such as horseback riding, pony rides and tours to area horse farms are available through the park and are offered at an additional fee.
Next-day-free and general admission to the Park is $16 for adults, $8 for children 7-12. All children with paying adult under six are always admitted free.
