Making your gift-list? The Kentucky Exposition Center has you covered.

Store displays are going up, people are staying in, and the sweaters are coming out. We are teetering on the edge of the holiday season. Because one of the most stressful parts of this time of year is buying gifts, the Kentucky Exposition Center wanted to share some great shopping opportunities happening this weekend at our facility. All of the events offer a different alternative for that picky-someone on your list. So grab the family, or come by yourself and enjoy a different holiday shopping experience!

For the Nature Lover: The National Young Bird Show is sponsored by the Louisville Pigeon Club, and has been a staple for bird-lovers since 1972. More than 6,000 show-quality birds will be on display for spectators to enjoy. Attendees can also take advantage of the 650 exhibitors and numerous resources available to learn about the various types of birds. A varied selection of bird-related merchandise will also be available. So come out and do some bird watching, or some bird-lover shopping!

For the Bargain Hunter: The Kentucky Flea Market features over 1,000 booths of arts, crafts, antiques, collectibles and more. This is a perfect opportunity to pick up something for crafty person on your list, or even pick up a DIY craft for yourself! Priceless antiques will also be available, at prices you won’t find elsewhere!

For the Collector: The Kenny Woods Gun and Knife Show is coming to the Expo Center and bringing the area’s largest selection of modern guns. The show also includes wholesale ammunition, accessories, scopes, antique guns, collectable knives, hunting needs and more! Buy, sell or even trade your merchandise to find perfect presents for your hunter, or any outdoorsy-type.

All of these events are free and open to the public, so if you’re not interested in holiday shopping just yet, bring the family out to browse and enjoy the weekend. Parking is $8, and will get you into all three events. We hope to see you here! For more information on events at the Kentucky Exposition Center, visit their website.
