For 47 seasons the Kent/Blossom Music Festival has prided itself in presenting world class music to audiences in Northeast Ohio. From June 25 through July 23, 2014 KBMF will once again present its Faculty Concert Series featuring performances by some of the region’s well known musicians from the Cleveland Orchestra and world class soloist as well.
Some of the highlights of the season will be the return of Steinway Artist, Spencer Myer, cellist Mark Kosower (performing an all-Brahms program), Jung-Min Amy Lee performing an evening of pieces for solo violin as well as guest performances by members of the Cleveland Orchestra and the Miami String Quartet among others.
Young musicians who are members of KBMF’s Chamber Players Concerts (which are free and open to all) will also be slated to perform. In addition, 46 students from around the world will be joining in a side-by-side performance with The Cleveland Orchestra at Blossom Music Center. This year’s Kulas Visiting Guest Artist will be violinist Ida Kavafian who will spend one week during the five week festival and will work intensely with this group of immensely talented students.
