The Julie Ruin releases new music video and announces North American tour dates

The Julie Ruin, which is fronted by feminist punk icon Kathleen Hanna of Bikini Kill and Le Tigre, has premiered a music video for the new single "Goodnight Goodbye" on Pitchfork. Shot in Super 8 film, the nostalgic video shares a candid backstage glimpse of the group while on tour last year.

Also in the band lineup is Hanna's fellow Bikini Kill band member Kathi Wilcox on bass, drummer Carmine Covelli, keyboardist Kenny Mellman, and Sara Landeau on guitar.

NPR described Run Fast as a blend of "personal social critiques" and "a wild-card camaraderie reminiscent of Bikini Kill." Fans of Hanna's previous work will appreciate the mixture of both Bikini Kill and Le Tigre found in the album's catchy pop-rock moments. In addition to The Julie Ruin's debut album Run Fast's release last September, new North American live dates for April have also been announced.

Expect lots of sweat and dance rock, in the best way possible. For ticket information, click here. New Jersey indie punk rock group Screaming Females are supporting on all dates listed except for Cleveland and Chicago.
