The journey of Amy Weber (Photos)

Amy Weber was never your typical girl growing up in Illinois. A tomboy in her childhood, she competed in motorcycle races and other "boy" activities. Yet as she grew up, Amy started to shift more towards the arts and soon had dreams of becoming an actress or singer. What happened next was not an uncommon twist to her story, a young girl hops on the freeway out of her hometown and heads to Los Angeles to follow her dreams, but Amy Weber's case is unique. Weber didn't just succeed at her dreams; she exceeded them.

As an exceptionally beautiful girl by the time she reached California, Amy was auditioning for roles in commercials when approached with the idea of becoming a model. At first she found the idea a little funny but characteristically thought that she didn't have anything to lose by trying. Next thing Amy knew, she was being flown out to Japan to serve as the face for companies like Shiseido Cosmetics and starring alongside Bruce Willis in Japanese Coke commercials. Soon she was starring in Saved By the Bell, USA High, Melrose's Place, and even in the General Hospital spin off Port Charles.

Amy not only pursues acting but any creative endeavor she feels drawn to and that is what makes Amy's success story refreshing. When you ask her why she works so much she'll answer "Why not? I woke up this morning." Sometimes she even takes on projects involving things she originally had no intention of doing, like the time she became a Diva for WWE wrestling. That changed her life into a roller coaster of constant appearances, travel, shows, and working out. Between working with wrestlers like Big Show, the near-constant travel, and the passionate and dedicated fans, Amy described her experience with WWE "like running away to join the circus".

Not content to only work in front of the camera, Amy started her own modeling agency. She wanted to be able to pick and choose the roles she felt were right for her and realized that having a way to make a living outside of films would allow her to do that. Whereas there were times early in her career where she took jobs that focused on her physical appearance, what Amy really wanted was to be a serious professional actress; fame at all costs was never her goal and fame was never her focus, she was dedicated to the craft of acting. Now thanks to her shrewd planning, she can pick to follow any project whole-heartedly without financial issues interfering.

In recent years, she has been working her way into a number of fields of entertainment, working in leading roles and as an executive producer in movies such as CrossRoad. But her biggest new project is the launch of her music career. After years of wanting to get into music but never having the time, Amy Weber is now in a position to bring her empowering music to the world. She has already gotten started with her debut album, "Let It Rain", that is now playing around the country in 24 Hour Fitness gyms pumping up people with it's infectious dance beats. Working in collaboration with the Grammy winning producers Jackie Boyz, she has even recently released a new single "Dance of Life" that is ready to help deliver Amy's messages about loving life and following your passions.

If you want to become one of her "distant friends" and hear her uplifting messages then you can follow her at twitter@therealamyweber. Amy Weber is a woman who is never afraid to do something that she sets her mind to and serves as a source of inspiration to any that she meets. She truly stands out as a one-of-a-kind pearl in the vast sea of entertainment.
