It is necessary for Jews to believe in Jesus the Christ in order to inherit eternal life. So declared Dr. Al Reichman, Southwest Regional Director of Chosen People Ministries. Speaking before the monthly Prayer Breakfast of the American Clergy Leadership Conference (ACLC), Dr. Reichman counseled that Jesus the Christ is the only way to God. However, he noted, “You cannot begin to know Jesus until you have understood the Tanakh” or Hebrew Scriptures.
In an enlightening talk entitled, “The Jewishness of the Gospels,” Dr. Reichman emphasized that “God lays out His plan in the” Hebrew Scriptures and then brings that plan to fruition in the New Testament. Evidence of this plan can be seen in Leviticus 23, according to Dr. Reichman, where God establishes the seven feasts of salvation: Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, Pentecost, Trumpets, Atonement, and Tabernacles.
Those seven feasts are fulfilled in the Gospels and Revelation in the form of the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Jesus, Empowering the Church, Rapture, Bema Seat Judgment, and the Millennial Kingdom. The Empowering of the Church is noteworthy, according to Dr. Reichman, in that it marks the first time that the Holy Spirit has indwelled in anyone.
“Prior to Acts 2:41,” said Reichman, “the Holy Spirit would come upon someone but would never enter someone.” However in Acts, “the Holy Spirit enters humanity – Immanuel!”
Thunderous applause and shouts of Amen rewarded Dr. Reichman’s insightful and inspiring talk. The audience’s appreciation was reflected in a generous love offering for Dr. Reichman and Chosen People Ministries.
Others appearing at the monthly gathering which was held at the Dallas Family Church, 1922 Anson Road, Dallas, Texas, on November 12, 2011, were Rev. Don E. Peavy, Sr., Fort Worth Ecumenical Examiner who acted as the Master of Ceremonies, Yoshiko Halsey, a former opera singer from Japan who rendered two inspiring songs, the BC Boys who thrilled those present with dance and Bishop Mark Hernandez who presented a video tape on the recent journey of 172 clergy to Korea and spoke on the upcoming Original Substance of the Divine Principle Workshops.
