Matthew 8:13
Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would.” And his servant was healed at that moment.
Reading the story of the Roman soldier who came to Jesus, asking the Savior to heal his ailing servant, you and I can learn something about faith that pleases God. Jesus agreed to come to the military man’s home immediately. The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. (Matthew 8:8).
When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith.(Matthew 8:10). The soldier believed in God’s ability to control and command any situation, no matter how desperate it seemed. The centurion understood authority. Under the command of a high-ranking officer himself and with soldiers reporting to him, he knew how orders were fulfilled. He believed that Jesus was God Most High, able to command even life and death. The soldier’s faith pleased Jesus. What are you facing that seems impossible?
Jesus is still looking for people who have bold faith in God The Ruler of the Universe, King of Kings and Lord of Lords . . . is capable. Let your faith in His ability and authority be a blessing to you and your family.. Face every situation believing, that with God all things are possible.
